Just because we believed something that was not true about someone. Doesn’t mean we have to continue to fuel the pride by standing in that angry place because we made harsh reactions based on a lie that we thought was the truth and we don’t want to look foolish by apologizing. Release the pride and embrace the truth about that person.
People will believe a mistruth about a person more often than we want to acknowledge. Why? Most often for some, it's easier to believe something negative about someone because it's allows one to continue to see the negative in a person versus embracing the true character of that person. Which will take work on them within as well to acknowledge it.
We don't have to stay in a place of a vengeful nature, it actually takes more effort to show hatred than it does an open mind.
