OUR CHOICES: LOYALTY IS NOT

Loyalty is not making those close to us "not" have a relationship with a family member or friend due to our dislike for them. Outside of that person having abusive behaviors it's not loyalty to force them to walk away from what is possibly a healthy relationship for them, all based on our view of that person. That can also be seen as abusive behavior towards that family member, child, friend etc. when making them feel they are not loyal because of that relationship.

• We all have a choice to make. Don't take the voice of another based on our view of someone else. Loyalty is not forcing others to see our way.

• True loyalty chooses to support you. Anything outside of that will result in a lack of trust later. How can one really trust a forced decision of another? Even if they don't see your way, it does not mean disloyalty.
